As a follow-up action of the HBP workshop HBP Hippocamp CA1 organized in March 2015, and the OpenSourceBrain meeting on Hippocampus in May 2015, we hereby launch a Community Models/Hippocampus forum category, and a first thread for discussions of next steps towards:
“Defining and bootstrapping an inclusive community-driven model, tool and data-integration process to achieve open pre-competitive reference models of hippocampus CA1, which are transparent, well documented, validated, and released at regular intervals (supported in part by open IT infrastructure funded by HBP, and other community tools and initiatives such as OSB).”
Involvement from the community interested in characterization and modeling of hippocampus CA1 is highly encouraged, as a primary objective of this initiative is to reduce fragmentation in the community.
