I'm trying to set up an experiment in the NRP, where the timestep is 100ms. At the beginning of each timestep I want to inject one spike into some neurons. As far as I understand, there are no Spike Injector Devices in the NRP, so I'm trying to fake the spike injection using a dc source.
DC Sources provide constant current input to the neuron and have four parameters; amplitude, start, stop and parrot. I tried playing around with the start and stop parameters in the TF to try to mimic spike injection but it didn't work. For some reason the start and stop values are ignored. This problem was pointed out by Alban in a previous post (https://forum.humanbrainproject.eu/t/precise-onset-and-offset-on-dc-source-mapping/819).
Is it possible to achieve spike injection in the NRP or at least fake it with other devices?
