Unable to use name of deleted collar

I have created a collab with name “Restest25d” which I deleted some time later.

Then I tried to create a new collaboration with the same name, but got an error “Collab already exist”.

Dear Alexander,

This is a known byproduct of a feature of the Collaboratory: collabs are not deleted, they are marked as deleted so they can be restored if necessary.

It’s safe to say though that this behaviour is very misleading for users. We plan to improve this in the future.

In the meantime, you have to create collabs with unique names.

thanks for the quick reply. I will use a new name then. But the situation should be improved, although probably not too important…
